pottery

You will notice as you look at my creations that I rarely leave a piece alone.  I like to go inside and distort and twist, for me it makes them more real.  Life isn't perfect nor are my pots.  There are bumps and bulges along the way but there is always beauty.

Here is a slide show of various pots from the last few years as well as some recent ones, just click HERE but be sure to use your browsers back button to come back to chrismccormick.com

Check out a slideshow of some of my wall hangings HERE. Then use your browsers back button to come back and look around some more!  Another reoccurring body of work are what I called my Water Pods.  They are all made with wood collected on hikes in the mountains and deserts of Southern California as well as with driftwood from the beach.  Take a look HERE.

Art From The Ashes is a nonprofit arts organization that collects artifacts from burn areas, invites artists to create their magic with the debris.  The proceeds from the sales of the works go to help re-hab the burned areas. I was honored to take part in the Art From The Ashes show to benefit the Deukmejian Wilderness Park in Glendale California.  Check out the slideshow HERE.
